Aronia is a super-fruit native to the Midwest. The berries have nearly 3 times the antioxidants of blueberries according to the Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) table. Aronia is a great source of anti-cancer flavonoids, as well as promotes cardiac health and is high in Vitamin C.
Their rich fruit flavor pairs well with any sort of sweet flavor such as apples or any juices. We’ve made some Aronia Chocolate Chip Cookies that have proved to be quite the hit!
